“Making An Impact with Your Life”

In one of my other blogs (“Having Confidence”) I talked about how having confidence in your life helps you to achieve what you want. I also said, “Life coaching will help you to build confidence and stay confident.” I believe firmly that having a solid foundation in Jesus Christ as your Savior and Lord will help you to have this confidence. It will keep you standing firm whenever you face challenges or turmoil in your life.

In the Gospel of John, chapter 15 Jesus says that He is the vine and we are the branches attached to that vine. Verse 4 tells us, “Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me.” In Christ we find that we can bear fruit that matters as we make a difference in and through our lives. As we remain in Christ we find confidence to do what is important.

Even more, Jesus tells us that we can know Him deeply, and thus know the will of God for our lives. John 15:15 tells us, “I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master’s business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you.” This too gives us great confidence as we realize that our lives have a purpose. Jesus calls us His friends with whom He shares with us that which is from God. How wonderful this is. How empowering this is. How uplifting this is. The truth is, when you know Christ, and receive what He shares with you, your confidence increases, and your impact becomes profound!
